Since 4/9/07, we have been updating an online journal to keep family and friends connected with Brandon and how things are going. We have had so many people visit and leave such inspiring messages of hope, faith and love that we would like to share that with all. Esophageal atresia repair done on 4/10/07
Aortopexy (The first surgery was done on 5/31 and came undone close to the end of June. A second surgery was done on 7/25).
Fundoplication (If Brandon shows evidence of aspiration from his GERD than this surgery will need to be done soon, if there is no evidence of aspiration than we can wait and treat this as a preventative surgery to ensure cancerous lesions do not form)
In July 08 Brandon had surgery to remove a water based cyst from his airway that was blocking 75% of his airway passage. This cyst developed due to numerous intabations during the first 4 months of his life. He also had his adnoids removed since they were blocking 80% of his nasal passage and tube put in his ears.
In Sept 08, a repeat bronch was done to see if the cyst was returning in his airway. Sure enough it was. The cyst was blocking 5% of his airway and removed. They also finally performed his hydroseal surgery.
